Owning a pool is supposed to be a refreshing and enjoyable experience, but what happens when things don’t go as planned? Recently, I’ve been dealing with a frustrating issue with my pool—a persistent “No Water Flow” alert, and unfortunately, resolving it has been anything but smooth. Let me explain the situation in more detail.

The Issue: No Water Flow Alert

The problem started when my pool’s system displayed an alert: “No Water Flow”. Naturally, I contacted the pool company for assistance. Their response was that the issue likely stemmed from clogged cartridges in the filter, which, according to them, needed to be cleaned. However, this led to an unexpected revelation.

The Contract Confusion: Sand Filter vs. Cartridge Filter

One detail that caught me by surprise was that my contract specified a sand filter. Yet, somehow, I ended up with a cartridge filter instead. I wasn’t aware of this change, but at this point, I just wanted the problem fixed. So, I went ahead and cleaned the filter cartridges as advised.

No Solution in Sight

Unfortunately, cleaning the cartridges didn’t resolve the issue. The “No Water Flow” alert persisted, and my pool’s system still wasn’t functioning properly. I reached out to the pool company again, but communication has been incredibly difficult. Their responses are slow and often unsatisfactory, leaving me without the clarity I need to move forward.

The Warranty Question: Still Unanswered

Another concern is whether or not the pool is still under warranty. I’ve asked the pool company several times about the warranty status, but they’ve failed to give me a clear answer. This lack of transparency adds another layer of frustration to an already stressful situation.

What’s Next?

At this point, I’m left with more questions than answers:

  • Why did I end up with a cartridge filter instead of the sand filter specified in the contract?
  • Why hasn’t the cleaning of the cartridges fixed the “No Water Flow” issue?
  • And most importantly, do I still have a valid warranty for the pool?

I plan to continue pursuing answers, but dealing with the pool company has proven to be a challenge. For anyone considering pool installation, I’d recommend ensuring that everything is crystal clear in your contract and making sure communication channels are solid. As for my situation, I’ll keep you posted on how this gets resolved. Stay tuned!
